Toronto Raptors of Canada’s Nigerian-born youngster, OG Anunoby has found his range going once again, after following useful advice offered by one of his teammates, Pascal Siakam, megasportsarena.com can report.
Anunoby had found the going tough since the start of the season with the National Basketball Association (NBA) defending champions, but he has now followed Siakam’s advice, after which he went on to produce a career-best scoring night and help The Raptors to a 15th straight win.
Siakam revealed the secrets of his colleague’s stunning revival, recalling how he keeps telling Anunoby to improve his offensive output by thinking less on the court, and the Nigerian-born lad showed a difference during Monday night’s game against Minnesota Tiberwolves.
Anunoby scored a career-high 25 points and matched his career-best with 12 rebounds to help Toronto extended their franchise-record winning streak to 15 by beating Timberwolves 137-126.
Toronto would go up 4-0 when Anunoby scores 20 or more and, overall, the Nigerian-born lad connected on 10-of-13 attempts, going 3-of-4 from three-point range, and picked up his fifth double-double of the season, much to Siakam’s delight.
Siakam said: “Most of the time you can kind of see that he is thinking too much and he is not just playing freely. Every time he just goes out and plays – once you are open shoot it, you are not open drive it – he always has a good game. You have got to keep it simple, and he did it.”
