Trabzonspor of Turkey winger, Victor Moses is aiming to return from injury this weekend and get back into action with his club in the Turkish Super Lig, while Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo will seek consolation after returning last weekend following a week out, megasportsarena.com reports.
While Omeruo missed a single weekend of action with Leganes, after copping a knock in training, which ruled him out of the Super Eagles’ friendly against Brazil in Singapore, Moses has been out since August, but he also looks good for the nod, after returning to training during the week.
In Turkey, Fenerbahce’s handler, Ersun Yanal is eager to have Moses back in his starting 11, as the gaffer has not been able to field the lad on loan from Chelsea of England since the opening day of the season, when the crafty winger suffered a muscle injury.
However, Moses returned to training last week and was in The Yellow Canaries’ squad for their last game against Denizlispor, only to spend 90 minutes on the bench with doubts still lingering over his fitness, but he appears set to play this time out, due to uncertainty over Max Kruse.
Yanal is now angling further towards Moses getting a role against Konyaspor on Saturday, with a strong hint that the winger would be back on the field for the first time since August 19, as the coach believes the squad could do with another vibrant impact from the former Super Eagles’ star, whose loan deal with Fenerbahce expires on May 31, 2020.
In Spain, Omeruo is in line to earn his seventh La Liga appearance of the season for Leganes, after returning to action last weekend against Getafe in the La Liga and was involved in training this week at the club’s ID Butarque ground in preparation for Saturday’s clash with Mallorca.
The former Standard Liege of Bwelgium, ADO Den Haag of Holland, Chelsea and Middlesbrough of England as well as ex-Kasimpasa and Konyaspor of Turkey stopper, has started six of Leganes’s nine league games this season, but missed out against versus Osasuna, Villarreal and Levante.
He will again aim to make his mark under the charge of Leganes’ former reserves’ team coach, Luis Cembranos and assistant, Carlos Martinez, who have both been placed in charge of the side, following the recent sack of Omeeruo’s former mentor, Mauricio Pellegrino.
