Barcelona Femeni of Spain attacker, Asisat Oshoala has promised to keep her feet on the pedal when the regular season begins, as she is eager to continue raining goals for her team, megasportsarena.com reports.
After netting her seventh goal in pre-season, with the only hit on target during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Montpellier of France, Oshoala said she is working hard to maintain her from and ensure she continues raining goals for Barca when Spain’s domestic campaign starts on September 8.
Oshoala declared during a radio sports programme monitored in Lagos that she is happy with her form in pre-season, during which she earlier scored against Leida of Spain, Olympique Marseille of France and her former club, Arsenal Ladies of England.
She, however, declared that she is not thinking of relaxing just yet, as she wants to ensure she makes the best of her first full season in Spain, following her initial loan deal on arrival from Dalian Quanjian of China mid-way through the past campaign.
The Super Falcons’ assistant captain and three-time African Women Footballer of The Year equally made top marks last term with Barca, in which she scored their only goal in a loss to Olympique Lyon of France in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
The Ikorodu-born lass declared that she wants to do even better for The Catalans this time out, ahead of which she says she is working hard and vowed to stay focused on the daunting task ahead of her.
Oshoala said: “I’m still working hard, to keep getting better. I will keep working and thanking God for helping me with everything that I am doing. All I want is to give my best for my club and make the fans happy.”
