Real Madrid Femeni of Spain defender, Chdinma Okeke has admitted she was sad to be hit with injury on a day her team fell 4-0 at home against Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona, and admits she now has a race against time to storm back with her team, megasportsarena.com reports.
The former FC Robo Queens of Lagos right-back, who started the league fixture, but was forced off after coping a knock just 25 minutes into the encounter at Centro Deportivo Municipal Luis Aragonés, declared that she will bounce back stronger and better, then pointed out that she was happy playing against Oshoala, despite seeing her side lose the game.
The 19-year-old Okeke, who joined Madrid CFF from FC Robo in the summer of 2018, was making her 7th league appearance on Saturday, but it came to an abrupt early end with her injury, but the lass is staying strong, despite initial reports that the knock looked quite scary.
She took to social media to reveal her thoughts about the injury setback, with a philosophical bold declaration that she is taking the development in her stride and hinted that she plans to do everything to get back sooner than expected, in order to rejoin her team in league action.
