Wolverhampton Wanderers of England youngster, Owen Otasowie is attracting rival interest from Paris-Saint Germaine of France as well as the English Premier League duo of Liverpool and Arsenal, with all three top clubs set to launch formal bids for the Nigerian-born 18-year-old lad at the start of next year, megasportsarena.com reports.
Otasowie has attracted attention from all three clubs with his dazzling efforts and intelligent play in the centre of defence for Wolves’ under-23 team, where the young centre-back, who can also play as a central midfielder, is fast growing through the ranks at Molineux Stadium.
British tabloid, The Sun added that Schalke 04 of Germany are also tracking Otasowie, who is still eligible to play for Nigeria, England and USA but has not decided on his international future.
The youngster, who will be out of contract at Molineux in summer and will be able to pursue options elsewhere, first caught the eye of PSG’s scouts during a recent Under-23 game in the Premier League International Cup, reports The Sun.
However, PSG are beinbg rivaled by Liverpool and Arsenal, who have both also been keeping tabs on Otasowie’s development at Molinuex, with Schalke also keen to keep their place in the running.
A report by sportsmail stated: “The German side, managed by former Huddersfield chief David Wagner, will look to use their reputation as cultivators of youth talent in order to bring in the defender in summer.
“While Otasowie can depart Wolves for free at the expiration of his contract, compensation will be due to the Midlands club for his development. So far this season the 18-year-old has found his game time limited, having made 86 minutes across four games in the Premier League 2.”
