Queens Park Rangers of England winger, Bright Osayi-Samuel is attracting keen summer transfer interest from his club’s main rivals in the English Championship, as table-topping Leeds United are said to be in the hunt for the Nigerian youngster’s signature, megasportsarena.com gathered.
Leeds look good to make a long-awaited return to the English Premier League this season, as the former UEFA Champions League fairy-tale side have topped the EFL table almost all-season long, and they now want to add Osayi-Samuel to their squad back in the top-flight.
That would be a major career left for the one-time Super Eagles’ invitee, as the 22-year-old lad has established himself as a regular member of QPR’s first team this season, with 26 starts this season in the Championship, compared to only nine last term.
Osayi-Samuel has also been in particularly good form since mid-December, having scored five goals and creating six more across all competitions, and Football Insider has now reported that Leeds are set to make their intentions official, after keeping close tabs on the winger before the suspension of action due to coronavirus.
The Whites are now expected to formally move for Osayi-Samuel when the transfer window reopens, even as Marcelo Bielsa’s side remain in pole position to win promotion, with the lad sure to be further endeared to the club once they go up, even as his current deal expires next summer and QPR could be willing to cash in on him, rather than risk losing him for free in 2021.
