Milwaukee Bucks of America’s Nigerian-born star, Giannis Adetokunbo (Antetokounmpo) is in awe of Los Angeles Lakers’ icon, LeBron James, who he described as ‘an alien.’
Megasportsarena.com reports that, although Antetokounmpo is a star of his own right, and is again on fire in the current National Basketball Association (NBA) league, where he was last season’s most valuable player, ‘The Greek Freak’ says he bow to LeBron anytime, any day.
With LeBron continuing to dominate despite his advancing years, as he celebrates his 35th birthday on December 30, Antetokounmpo admits it is simply amazing to see the LA ace still averaging 25.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 10.6 assists per game for The Lakers this season.
With matching 24-4 records, the Bucks and Lakers top the Eastern and Western Conferences respectively this season, while LeBron, a three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP is going strong and showing no signs of slowing down in his 17th year in the league.
LeBron is back in top form, following a difficult first season in LA, and Antetokounmpo hailed his hero ahead of a game that placed the league’s two best teams against each other, before which The Bucks had their 18-game winning streak snapped by Dallas Mavericks, while Lakers fell to Indiana Pacers, but both players and the teams are still regarded as the standout form symbols.
Antetokounmpo concluded: “It’s insane to see what he’s able to do, but he’s LeBron James, he’s different. He’s an alien. So you expect it from him, but yeah, it’s crazy It’s crazy. Obviously, for me, that’s one of my goals to be able to play at a high level for the next 10 years, but he’s about to turn 35 this month and he’s moving like that, playing like that, and just playing smart.”
