Milwaukee Bucks of America sensation, Giannis Adetokunbo (Antetokounmpo) sat out his team’s latest game in USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA) league due to a knee injury, but his side still went on to win in his absence, megasportsaeena.com reports.
The Bucks played without Antetokounmpo due to a sprained left knee, but they still shot 61.5% (24 of 39) from 3-point range and 56.4% overall, as Jrue Holiday led the way with 28 points and 14 assists to help them breeze past Indiana Pacers 140-113, for their seventh straight victory.
With Antetokounmpo out of the line-up, Pat Connaughton made his first start of the season then netted 20 points and nine rebounds while shooting 6 of 7 from 3-point range, with Khris Middleton adding 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
The Bucks also played without reserve forward, P.J. Tucker because of a sprained left ankle, after he played 12 minutes and was scoreless in his second game since he was acquired in a trade with Houston Rockets last week.
Afterwards, The Bucks’ coach, Mike Budenholzer confessed that he was unsure about Antetokounmpo’s status for Wednesday’s game against Boston Celtics, adding that he thinks the reigning two-time NBA most valuable player got hurt during a 120-113 victory over San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
”We’re hoping it’s shorter rather than longer, but we’ll see how these first 48 to 72 hours go and we’ll know more then,” Budenholzer said.
