Spartak Moscow of Russia winger, Victor Moses will go for a thorough medical examination of the injury he copped at the weekend to formally assess his physical condition heading into the weak, megasportsarena.com reports.
With Spartak already sweating over Moses’ fitness before their next Russian Premier League encounter against FC Ural, the Moscow-based side’s medics have received marching orders to patch up the former Super Eagles’ star.
This comes after the winger-cum-wing-back on loan from Chelsea of England was forced off during the first half of his team’s 2-1 win at Dinamo Moscow, against who he netted an excellent goal to equalise for The Red-Whites.
Few hours after seeing Moses replaced in the 40th of Saturday’s game, Spartak’s coach, Andreas Hinkel revealed that the former Super Eagles’ winger will undergo medical tests to determine the exact extent of the injury.
The race is now on to ensure a speedy return to full fitness for Moses, who is top of the perking order on Spartak’s team sheet, having started their last 11 matches in the league, such that Hinkel admitted he is eager to get good news about the crafty player.
Hinkel told the Moscow-based club’s official website: “Moses said that there was a blow to the knee and the feeling that he tucked it. At the same time, he thinks that nothing happened, but we will conduct the necessary medical examination.”
