Wales’ Nigerian-born attacker, Hal Robson-Kanu has been sent packing from the country’s national team’s camp, following his infringement of squad regulations, along with two other members of the squad, megasportsarena.com reports.
Robson-Kanu, who plays his club football with West Bromwich Albion of England, has been forced to leave the Welsh camp in company of Rabbi Matondo and Tyler Roberts after breaching Football Association of Wales (FAW) protocol.
Born May 21, 1989, Thomas Henry Alex “Hal” Robson-Kanu started his career as a schoolboy at Arsenal but was released at 15, following which he joined Reading and, after graduating from the academy in 2007 he spent time on loan at Southend United and Swindon Town.
Robson-Kanu, who was born in England to a Nigerian father and an English mother of Welsh descent, initially represented the country of his birth at international level and got his debut for the under-19 side against Germany in November 2007.
The bursting winger-cum-striker, who returned to Reading in 2009 and got his first team debut soon after, switched allegiance in 2010 to play for Wales, the country of his grandmother, and played for the U21s before his debut for the senior team against Croatia on May 23 that year.
