Nigeria’s basketball national team, D’Tigers’ former captain, Olumide Oyedeji is relishing another birthday, and used the occasion of his happy moment on Monday to count the many blessings he has received from God, on and off the court, megasportsarena.com reports.
While describing it as ‘another amazing day’ for him, Olumide reasoned that adding a year to his age has taken him into a new chapter of his life story, which he noted is a rare kind of award that is made possible only by God.
He went on to add words of prayer and supplication for himself, as well as intercessions for all his fans, friends and well-wishers, as he enthused that many happy days still lie ahead of him, even as he long ago retired from the game through brought him fame and fortune.
Now president of Nigerian Olympians Association (NOA) and an executive board member of Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF), representing the country’s players in the governing body, Oyedeji shot a look behind him to give thanks and cast more thoughts ahead, as he prayed for a lot more to come for him and those looking up to him for inspiration and leadership.
He enthused that God will continue providing all the ideas, strength and guidance he needs to make years ahead of him even better than what he has seen already, and for him to achieve a lot more in days to come, even as he enthused that he will be able to have yet another happy birthday filled with joy at this time next year.
Oyedeji gleefully posted on social media: “Today marks yet another amazing day for me. Thx to the Lord Almighty, a new age has been awarded to me. I pray 4 many more days like this joyous anniversary I am experiencing my birthday today. Lord guide me in all I do in the many days and years ahead as I celebrate my Birthday.”
