FC Paris of France goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has explained reasons behind her deicision to accept a contract extension from the midstream club, as she sees the team as ‘the perfect place to continue learning’ as a growing player.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, in the wake of the club’s official announcement of their agreement with the Nigerian female national team, Super Falcons’ shot-stopper, Nnadozie said she is delighted to extended her stay with the Paris-based side until June 2023.
The enterprising keeper, who is on record as the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, during the Falcons’ 2-0 win over South Korea at France 2019, added how relieved she is to have finally settled down in Paris.
After the first difficult months, particularly due to worries over COVID-19, the 20-year-old goalie asserted herself week by week and she is now the Parisians’ first-choice and has already enacted great performances in ten games this season.
Consequently, what she signed as an 18-month has turned into a long-term contract, which still includes a proviso that Nnadozie will be the Paris-based side’s first choice in goal, amidst other juicy trappings for the agile youngster.
Nnadozie, who joined her present club in January 2020 from Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, told parisfc.fr: “I was very happy when Paris FC offered me a new contract.
“It really is the perfect place to continue learning and developing. It’s always an honour to wear the Paris FC jersey and defend it when the coach calls on me. I look forward to continuing to improve.”
