Latest figures have disclosed that Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi remains the highest earning Nigerian player plying his trade in England at present, with his fee of £3,900,000 per annum at King Power Stadium rating tops of all others.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, although the figure is not high enough to make him The Foxes’ top earner, Ndidi is smiling to the back ahead of all Nigerians in the English Premier League, but level with Fernebahce of Turkey winger, Victor Moses, who is currently on loan from Chelsea.
While Ndidi ranks ahead of Leicester colleague, Kelechi Iheanacho as well as Leon Aderemi Balogun of Brighton, Isaac Success of Watford and Alex Iwobi of Everton, the former Racing Genk of Belgium star is fifth highest earner at King Power Stadium, behind Jamie Vardy (£7.28m), Kasper Schmeichel (£6.76m), Johnny Evans (£4.16m) and Adrien Silva (£4.16m).
Moses is Nigeria’s second highest earning player attached to an EPL club, with £3.9m every year and £75,000 per week, ahead of third rated Iheanacho (£60,000 per week, while Iwobi is fourth with a total of £2,600,000 per season (£50,000 weekly).
Bournemouth’s Nigerian-born winger, Jordon Ibe is next with £38,000 per week, followed by Isaac Success (£30,000), which is level with Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo (also £30,000), putting them joint-sixth of the log.
Eighth spot is held by another Bournemouth Nigerian-born player, Dominic Solanke (£25,000), while Balogun is ninth with £18,269 and former Denmark under-21 international, Philip Chinedu Billing, who also plays for Bournemouth, hogs 10th position with £15,000 per week.
