Reading of England midfielder, Michael Olise is fast turning into the biggest transfer prospect this summer, as the Nigerian-born French youth international is reportedly attracting the eyes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although Olise is only in his first season with Reading, his performances with The Royals have been outstanding, such that rave reviews have trailed him all season long and he is now likely to join a top club in the English Premier League during this summer’s transfer window.
A report by Eurosport noted that the 19-year-old Olise, who is being courted by England for a nationality switch, has been in impressive form for the Royals during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring five times and registering 10 assists in 37 Championship appearances.
Olise’s current deal is due to expire next June, though, meaning that his Championship club could be forced into a summer sale unless the midfielder pens a new contract.
The report by Eurosport added: “Olise represented both Chelsea and Man City at youth level before joining Reading, where he has made 66 appearances over the last three seasons. Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City are all keen to sign the teenager in the upcoming market.
“However, the English trio are likely to face competition from Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Napoli and Monaco, who are also said to be tracking his progress.”
