Former Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has been spotted in a promotional video launched by Confederation of African Football (CAF) to highlight hand washing as a potent way of avoiding further spread of coronavirus, megasportsarena.com reports.
Dubbed ‘Safe Hands’ and ‘No Hand Shake’ Challenge, the project pools together various football personalities from a number of countries across the continent, with Enyeama named as the only Nigerian star included in the venture that emphasizes the benefits of all people washing their hands regularly in order to avoid being infected by the virus.
Although currently clubless, after failing out with Lille Metropole of France two years ago, Enyeama is still in the news and has been selected with 12 other CAF Legends to carry the continental soccer governing body’s message in the war against the deadly respiratory ailment that keeps claiming millions of lives worldwide every day.
CAF disclosed the role being played by Enyeama and the other icons in a statement on their official website, in which a special video package of all the football stars was backed up by a step-by-step instructional approach that can be adopted by fans and other people across the continent in ensuring that they stay healthy during these days of COVID-19.
The report stated: “A group of African football legends have come together for a short video for the #Safehands and #Noshandshake challenge as part of efforts towards the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
“The 98-seconds video is collage shot by the players in their respective locations emphasizing on the importance of washing the hands and avoiding handshake, critical to the battle against COVID-19, which has brought the entire world to a halt.
