Nigeria is bound to miss out on capping Crystal Palace of England dazzler, Eberechi Eze and PSV Eindhoven of Holland whiz-kid, Noni Madueke at senior level, as both are set to get a major breakthrough at the upcoming European U-21 Championship, megasportsarena.com reports.
This follows information out of England revealing that the Queen’s country has included both Eze and Madueke in their youth squad for the March 24 to 31 UEFA Championship, thereby setting them on the path of a solid foundation for future thrills with the nation of their birth.
The odds could dangle against Nigeria Football Snatching (NFF) snatching both fast-rising youngsters for the Super Eagles in coming years, as England’s youth team coach, Aidy Boothroyd included Eze and Madueke in his 23-man squad to face Portugal, Croatia and Switzerland in Group D.
Eze, who trained with the Eagles along with former Arsenal attacker, Chuba Akpom in March of 2017, before a cancelled international friendly against Burkina Faso in England, is set to feature in his first major tournament for his country of birth.
On the other hand, Madueke has caught the eye of many this season following his brilliant start to life in the Dutch Eredivisie where scored nine goals and in 29 appearances is among three new faces in the England U21 squad.
