Fernebahce of Turkey winger, Victor Moses will spend only a week in London before heading back to the club where he is still on loan from Chelsea of England, as his contract at Stamford Bridge is billed to run until June 30, 2021.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, despite initial fear that Moses had been sent packing from Fernebahce on account of his recent battles with injuries, the word out of The Yellow Canaries’ camp in Istanbul indicates that they only allowed him return to London for treatment, and return after a week.
A report by leading Turkish sports daily, Fanatik further disclosed that Moses opted to continue treatment in London, as he seeks to make himself available for the second half of the season in the Turkish Super Lig.
After toiling for full fitness from the very first match of the season, when he got injured against Gaziantep FK and later suffered a relapse, Moses is yet to join up with Fernnebahce’s squad at their winter training camp, as he has sought a second opinion on his treatment in England.
The former Super Eagles’ star is now expected back in Istanbul after one week, but his club’s medics have already told him that he will have to undergo further checks before they would be able to decide whether he can resume full training.
It means test time is still lying ahead of the 29-year-old winger, who has played only six Turkish Super Lig matches, with a single goal to show from his efforts in a total of goal 492 minutes of action for The Yellow Canary, who are said to be getting uneasy over his frequent unavailability.
This is in contrast with the heroic status Moses enjoyed at the club last term, as he arrived in mid-season on an 18-month loan spell from Chelsea, and quickly got down to helping the club survive relegation battles with crucial goals, assists and top performances that wowed fans.
