The ceremony at Ikoyi Registry was the legal level to the wedding rites that began some months back with the exchange of marital vows the traditional way between the youthful Ebeye and former Miss Uche Michael, now Mrs Uche Ebeye, who was beaming with delight over the events of the day.
The exchange of marital vows and solemnization of Holy Matrimony also gives the new bride a chance of finally travelling abroad, as she will fly out to Italy with her beau later this week, to commence the journey of married life in the Land of Love, where she will live with one of the gentlest and humblest men anyone would ever find.
Testimonies about Ebeye’s godly nature came rolling through social media in the wake of Wednesday’s legal binding of the new couple, as his friends and colleagues used the a group site opened for the spread congratulatory and celebratory messages for the latest couple in town.
Humble words of gratitude flew from the soft-spoken lad, who now works at DNG Group Cosmetics in Italy, spoke about his desire to produce better footballers than he was during his days with Starlets, Mighty Rovers and Young Stars of Lagos.
He hit top marks with a silver-winning team at 2002 Nike Cup in Lagos and bronze side at 2003 Upper Austria Cup before also stepping overseas to link forces with AC Cittadella Calcio, Luzzara Calcio and Sarone Calcio all in Italy.
Ebeye said via a voice message after Wednesday’s event: “I am happy with how you turned up physically for my wedding at the registry.
