Bursaspor of Turkey defender, Shehu Abdullahi has declared that he and his teammates in the former Turkish Super Lig club will continue working hard in order to get a sound footing heading into the mid-season break and storm back stronger at the start of 2020, megasportsarena.com reports.
Abdullahi added while reflecting on his side’s victory over Adanaspor in their last match of the lower division Lig over the past weekend that that they have to keep pushing hard and now focus on the next game at hand, in order to continue the winning momentum.
Incidentally, largely unknown Nigerian, Emeka Eze scored first for the hosts in the 20th minute of Saturday’s game, but Ozer Hurmaci struck a hat-trick to get Abdullahi’s team back into the match, and the Super Eagles star is happy his side eventually won the game 3-2 away.
While Eze was replaced six minutes after opening the game’s rain of goals, Abdullahi starred for all 90 minutes with the visitors, who he disclosed returned to their base in the city of Bursa with rejoicing and glee for their fans, but admitted that they have to keep their feet on the throttle.
That point of view informed his verdict ahead of their next game, and Abdullahi took to social media to reveal that he and his colleagues are already back in full training drills to put them in top shape for their upcoming home fixture this weekend in the Turkish First Lig.
He stressed that they will keep pushing in order to stay on top and regain promotion back to the Turkish Super Lig, hence the resolve to make the best of Sunday’s fixture, when his third placed side head into a home encounter against 11th placed Giresunspor.
