Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze is back on the transfer radar of English Premier League club, Chelsea, with the London-based outfit said to be eager for a deal this summer, megasportsarena.com gathered.
Although The Blues appeared to slack in their previous efforts to get the youngster, who had initially been on the verge of a deal with local rivals, Arsenal, Chelsea are now said to be ready for a deal at the end of the ongoing season.
This is gained from details of a report by Berlin-based OneFootball, which disclosed that Chelsea are now set to make their hunt for Chukwueze more concrete than ever, as they plan to make a formal offer to The Yellow Submarine to release the youngster.
The report adds that The Blues’ manager, Frank Lampard has sounded the technical unit out about his desire for Chukwueze, as the gaffer says he wants the left-footed lad in his squad at all cost next season.
A report by allnigeriasoccer.com added: “Chukwueze won’t come cheap though as he has a release clause of 100 million euros (approximately N41 billion) which has to be activated before the Yellow Submarine can shred their agreement with the 20-year-old.
“Liverpool saw their 35m euros bid for the rising star rejected in the January transfer window as it was deemed insufficient. Chukwueze’s profile increased after he was nominated for the Golden Boy award, CAF Youth Player of the Year and Kopa Trophy. The 2015 U17 World Cup winner has made 68 first-team appearances for Villarreal since debuting in September 2018.”
