Nigeria’s Presidency has thrown its full weight behind Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as the soccer governing body marshals plans to ensure the Super Eagles defeat Cameroon in their forthcoming Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
The Eagles and Indomitable Lions are billed to clash in Uyo for the first leg on September 1, before settling scores in the second leg on September 4, and the NFF have now received a massive boost from The Presidency to ensure the Eagles emerge tops in both matches.
This much has been disclosed by NFF’s second vice-chairman and League Management Company (LMC) chairman, Shehu Dikko, who assured that the Eagles will not lack anything when they come for the double header encounter.
Dikko disclosed further that the federal government has approved the release of funds that the NFF require to successfully and effectively prosecute all the remaining qualifying matches of the Eagles en route to Russia 2018.
He asserted that top shots at The Presidency, like everybody in Nigeria, know the importance of defeating Cameroon in Uyo, because that will take the Eagles closer to booking a place at the global soccer fiesta.
Dikko further disclosed that Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr is already in Europe to monitor the progress of the players as they take part in pre-season matches with their respective clubs.
“The NFF is putting everything in place to ensure that the Super Eagles win the match against Cameroon here in Nigeria.
“Already the federal government has been magnanimous enough to have granted all our approvals for the release of funds to prosecute the matches. I am sure that the funds will be released before we play Cameroon in the first leg.
“Truly, all hands are on deck, everybody including in government know that if we defeat Cameroon, it will only be one step to be at the world cup so nobody is joking with it.
“Nigerian delegation is already preparing to go to Cameroon to make all the necessary arrangements for the return leg,” said Dikko.

  3. 222405 730979Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone! 10509
