Peter Olayinka has become Czech club, Slavia Praha’s leading scorer in European competitions with 13 goals after he notched another goal in their 3-2 win against Ballkani in a UEFA Conference League game on Thursday night, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The Nigerian striker restored parity for the hosts in the 34th minute following a delightful pass from Lukas Masopust, he has now surpassed Tomas as the club’s record goalscorer in European club competitions.
Olayinka, who has now scored two goals in two UEFA Europa Conference league appearances this season, would later assist Lukas Masopust to score the winner in the 41st minute.
“I’m really happy about it. It is a great honour to be Slavia’s top scorer in the European Cups. I am in Slavia and I am very grateful that I was able to do something like this. Thanks to everybody, I couldn’t have done it without them.” An excited Olayinka said after the match.
