GAIS of Sweden midfielder, Nuhu Jatta has commenced trials with high-flying English Championship side, with Leeds United, with a view to signing a deal with the former UEFA Champions League campaigners, megasportsarena.com reports.
Leeds ate currently looking good for promotion back to the English Premier League, ahead of which they are already thinking of shoring up their squad, with 16-year-old Jatta now said to be among their targets for the long-term.
With that in view, Jatta has already commenced a programme that will last for a week at Elland Road, with hope on a potential move to the Championship club, who are keen on the lad that made his senior debut for GAIS earlier this year in the Swedish second tier.
Jatta has since made four first-team appearances for the Swedish side, who confirmed that they have given him the go-ahead to train alongside the Leeds youth squad this week after a request from the Championship outfit was granted.
The teenager, who also spent time with SPAL of Italy earlier this year, will be with The Whites until Sunday, during which time he will have varying opportunities of understudying Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship following last weekend’s draw with Cardiff City.
Leeds are currently second in the Championship table, behind West Bromwich Albion, with 47 points to show from their 22 fixtures, hence their desire for victory when they travel to Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
