Former Super Eagles attacker, Victor Obinna Nsofor (For Real) has received a goodwill message from Italian fourth division outfit, Seregno Calcio, who stated that they are wishing him the very best for his career at his next port of call, even as the veteran forward continues his search for the Golden Fleece, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although Seregno initially had plans of signing on the 32-year-old former player of Kwara United of Ilorin, Enyimba of Aba, Nacional of Brazil as well as the Italian Serie A trio of Inter Milan, Chievo Verona and Regina, they disclosed no ill feelings over his decision to snub their offer.
Seregno’s president, Davide Erba added that Nsofor had been expected to begin training with the Serie D club last Wednesday and sign a contract this weekend, but the former ‘Rave of The Moment’ opted out at the last minute, sighting his desire to still play in the top-flight.
With that settled, Seregno quickly turned their attention on other matters, and issued a media statement to confirm that Nsofor will no longer signed the dotted lines at their base, then went on to wish him well in his next stop, as the 2010 World Cup star winds down his career.
The fourth-tier outfit stated: ”Seregno Calcio announces that the great champion Victor Obinna has declined our proposal. It is understandable that a player of such caliber wants to continue playing in the top league. Strength Obinna! We wish you a great continuation of your career!”
