Two former Super Eagles’ star, Ben Iroha and Friday Elahor have both rated the current Nigerian squad very high, and reckon that the team have what it takes to reach the final of this Africa Cup of Nations, even as they go out against Algeria in the semi-finals on Sunday.
Both left-footed former soccer stars, who were part of the AFCON 1994 winning squad that went on to wow the globe at USA ’94 World Cup, are of a view that the Eagles have already proven their quality in reaching the semi-finals at Egypt 2019, but the ex-internationals warned that the team must not relax.
Megasportsarfena.com can report that they both shared a view that it will be a tough battle in Cairo, Egypt from 8pm this Sunday, but added that the Nigerian team should concentrate more on their strengths than worry over the potency of their opponents.
Elahor posited: “It’s going to be a 50-50 match. They have their stars and we have our own; which means both teams are strong.
“However, we don’t have to think about them or worry about what they can do. We should concentrate of what we have to do to stop them.”
Iroha added: “We don’t have to worry about our opponents. Just put your house in order. Keep your house in order; and I am sure the team will deliver.”
