New arrival at Dynamo Moscow of Russia, Sylvester Emeka Igbonu (Sly) has stated sheer delight with the switch that takes him to the capital from their Russian Premier League rivals, FC Ufa, and says he is already feeling at home among his latest set of teammates, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although the deal is only a season-long loan agreement between both clubs, the former Super Eagles invitee believes he will get opportunities to prove his mettle at the Moscow-based side and go onto create big waves that would cement his prospects for the near future.
The former FC Midtjylland of Denmark midfielder-cum-attacker, who joined Ufa in 2015 and has played 108 matches in the Russian top-flight league, with 25 goals and 10 assists, will now ply his trade all through this season on loan to Dynamo, where he says the reception they gave him on arrival was very encouraging.
Igbonu disclosed: ”From the very first moment I felt at home in Dynamo. I was well received, showed great interest. Glad to be here. I will try to prove myself in the best way.
”Dynamo is a club with a rich history and glorious traditions. To become part of such a team is a great happiness.
”I have already been told about the goals facing the team in the upcoming season. I liked that Dynamo was going to fight for European competitions. I want to write my story here. ”
