Former Rangers International of Enugu striker, Chisom Egbuchulam has declared how eager he is to resume action with his club, Meizhou Hakka, who compete in the lower division Chinese League One of The Oriental Nation, megasportsarena.com reports.
With action having been on hold in China since the last quarter of 2019, as the country was the epicenter of the global coronavirus outbreak, Egbuchulam confessed that he has missed football very direly and is now looking forward to the opportunity of adding to his current haul of six goals and two assists in 11 test games since joining the team.
Although an exact date is yet to be fixed for the resumption of Chinese League One matches, the former home-based Eagles’ invitee, who joined Meizhou Hakka from Suwon of Japan in January, is expectant of a return to full competitive activities in the coming weeks.
The exuberant attacker, who was set to make his competitive debut in March, when the lower league was initially slated to resume but was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, stressed that he cannot wait to be active once again, because he has missed the game and is eager to get back unto the pitch, as he wants to start raining goals one by the dozen all over again.
Egbuchulam told AOIFootball.com: “Everything is good here and so far have played only 11 games, all friendly. Though the situation we face presently is better, we still hope that the league will start soon.”
