Real Madrid of Spain’s reserves’ team midfielder, Marvin Olawale Akinlabi Park is seeking instant revival for his club, Catilla, following his inability to save them from a 2-1 loss to Racing Ferrol, despite netting their only goal in the Spanish Segunda B division, megasportsarena.com reports.
The 19-year-old Akinlabi opened scoring in the 24th minute, after he snatched the ball from an opposing defender, but Juan Antonio equalized for Ferrol from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute and, with just five minutes to end the first-half, Fer Beltrán scored the second.
The result left Akinlabi devastated but the youngster, who has made three consecutive starts for Raul Gonzalez’s team, has brushed aside the setback and the Spain-born midfielder, who is still eligible to play for Nigeria and South Korea at senior level, is now looking for quick redemption.
Real Madrid’s first-team coach, Zinedine Zidane is keeping his eyes on outstanding players at Castilla and he surely will be keen on seeing more of Akinlabi, who was an influential member of Los Blancos’ Juvenil A squad in the past campaign.
Akinlabi is gradually stepping up, after starring for Real Madrid’s U-19 team last season, in which he featured actively, as they won all their group matches in the UEFA Youth League, helped them finish second in Group V of Division de Honor and guide them to the semi-final of Copa del Rey.
