Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia attacker, Ahmed Musa has received a pleasant welcome back message from the club, following his return to their base on Thursday, after spending almost two months back home in Nigeria during the coronavirus lockdown, megasportsarena.com reports.
Musa returned to the oil rich country around midday, into the warm embrace of a couple of Al-Nassr officials and a sprinkling of their fans, after which the club’s media unit rolled out a formal welcome message that had a hint of relief that the Super Eagles’ captain is hale and hearty.
Relief, indeed, will be rolling through the club’s players, coaches, officials and fans, as startling reports had emerged few hours after he landed in Nigeria on a private plane with his family and former Eagles’ midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu that he had tested positive for COVID- 19.
Musa quickly rolled out a message on social media to deny the reports, which he described fake news, even as he remained quarantined in self-isolation for 14 days, which he said he only had to observe only because he always ensures that he stays law-abiding.
Events of all subsequent days eventually confirmed that Musa was not infected with the deadly respiratory disease, as he even got into a game of golf with Plateau State governor, Barrister Simon Lalung, as he made the best of his forced holiday in Nigeria.
Musa is now back to his base in Saudi Arabia, much to the delight of his club, as they posted a hearty welcome back message through their verified Twitter handle @AlNassrFC_EN and stated: “Our Nigerian star, Ahmed Musa, Yellow heart arriving earlier today in Riyadh!”
