SV Hamburg of Germany youngster, Xavier Amaechi has revealed that the genesis of his recent loan exit from the German 2. Bundesliga table-toppers to Karlsruher SC was a call from his new club’s gaffer to the handler of his parent team.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that the former Arsenal of England youth team player disclosed that he is now determined more than ever to give his very best efforts to Karlsruher, in order to reward the club’s gaffer, Christian Eichner for putting so much trust had in him.
Amaechi reckoned that he owes himself a duty to justify the interest from Eichner, who he recalled contacted him through Hamburg’s boss, Michael Mutzel, and he will now be spending the rest of this season at Karlsruher’s Wildparkstadion home ground.
That marks a new lease of life for the 20-year-old Amaechi, who has found it difficult breaking into the starting 11 since his move to Hamburg, with just five substitute appearances to date in all competitions, while limited to playing for the Hamburg-based side’s second third cadre team in the Regionalliga Nord, where he notched five goals in six league appearances.
Amaechi, who Hamburg acquired from Arsenal for 2.5 million euro in the summer of 2019, said: “Christian Eichner got in contact with me through Michael Mutzel and spoke to me often. I would like to repay the trust now I’m happy to be here in Karlsruhe now and want to play football here week after week.”
