Former Super Eagles’ winger, Victor Moses will have to do more to convince his current club, Inter Milan of Italy that he deserves an extended stay with the team, as he has been declared surplus to requirements top shots at his parent team, Chelsea of England, megasportsarena.com gathered.
The verdict out of Stamford Bridge is said to have come after gaffer of the side, Frank Lampard conceded that he has now place in his squad of next season for the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic dazzler, who has been on loan from Chelsea to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United of England as well as Fernebahce of Turkey in recent years.
With Moses failing to impress in his new role as a regular right-wing-back under his favourite coach, Antonio Conte at Inter, he has now been informed that he should start looking for a new club ahead of next season.
British newspaper, The Sun UK, however, reports that Moses is not alone heading for The Blues’ exit, as Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, Danny Drinkwater and Michy Batshuayi have also all been told that they are not in the team’s plans outlined by Lampard for next season.
The report adds: “Signed from Wigan Athletic on August 24, 2012, Moses is Chelsea’s joint longest-serving player on a first-team contract along with César Azpilicueta, who arrived from Marseille on the same date.
“A purchase clause set at 12 million euros was included in the deal taking the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner to Inter Milan in the January transfer window but the Italian Serie A club want the fee reduced.
“Apart from his debut season at Stamford Bridge and during Antonio Conte’s time in charge of the club, Moses has been out of favour at Chelsea and has been shipped out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
“The former Crystal Palace man has one year left to run on his contract with Chelsea. Chelsea are keen to get the six players off the wage bill to fund moves for Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz and Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.”
