Daniel Etor says that Enugu Rangers will give a good account of themselves in their CAF Confederation Cup ties with Zambian side, Zesco United.
The draw for the playoffs round of the competition was conducted in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday at the CAF Headquarters and Etor said that they are heading into the encounters a better side and will avoid a repeat of their showings against Zamalek.
“I will say it is not a bad draw but our emphasis is on our Wednesday match against Shooting Stars in Ibadan. Zesco are a good side and we can’t toil with them. We have learnt our mistakes in our game with Zamalek and we won’t repeat them against Zesco,” said Etor.
“We shall approach both games with all seriousness and we pray our hard work will be rewarded in both games. No easy games again but we have all it takes to deal with Zesco and I am sure we are going to do just that.”
The Flying Antelopes host the Zambian side on April 9 and travel to Lusaka for the return leg a week later.
Zesco United got to the semi-final of last year’s CAF Champions League before they were beaten 3-2 on aggregate by eventual champions, Mamelodi Sundowns but compete in the continent’s second-tier competition this term after they lost the Zambian topflight title to Zanaco last season.
