Spartak Moscow of Russia winger, Victor Moses will be seeking answers from the club’s coach, following a declaration by the public relations director Anton Fetisov that only the gaffer can decide if the former Super Eagles’ star will stay with the team beyond this summer.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, with Moses failing to hit the height of glory expected of him following his arrival on loan from Chelsea of England last summer, warning bells have emerged early that he could be heading back to Stamford Bridge at the end of this campaign.
Moses apparently would love to finally seal a permanent contract in Russia, as he has been o n the move constantly over the past three years, and would love to settle down with The Red-Whites, which he joined in October 2020 for a loan fee of 300,000 euro and purchase clause set at five million euro.
However, rather than throw light on what Spartak’s decision would be, Fetisov added to the suspense by refusing to make a categorical declaration about their expected decision over Moses, who is currently with the Moscow-based Russian Premier League club’s squad at their winter training camp in Dubai.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, who has scored one goal in nine appearances for the former club of Emmanuel Emenike, previously endured loan spells from Chelsea to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United of England as well as Fenerbahçe of Turkey and Inter Milan of Italy.
His next port of call is now subject of conjecture, as Spartak prepare to make a decision on whether to trigger a purchase clause in their loan agreement with Chelsea at the end of the ongoing season, but Fetisov says the answer to that would come only after consultations with the coach.
Fetisov told Sport Express: “So far, we have not discussed the possible redemption of Moses. The head coach will decide on Victor, it’s too early to talk about it. We will raise the issue of the purchase only at the end of the season.”
