Hertha Berlin of Germany defender, Jordan Torunarigha has entered the January transfer radar of Fernebahce of Turkey, with a strong indication that the fast-growing Nigerian-born lad could be moving to The Yellow Canaries’ camp in Istanbul before the end of this month, megasportsarena.com reports.
However, it is not a full transfer coming his way, as the report adds that Torunarigha would only be heading for a loan deal for the remainder of the season, if Hertha Berlin’s new boss, Jürgen Klinsmann agree to let him go.
However, Torunarigha is keen on achieving an exit from the Old Lady this winter, and a report by popular Turkish newspaper, Hurriyet disclosed that the central defender has already agreed terms with Fener over his espied move, with the club now set to announce his loan signing.
Torunarigha is eager to make the switch, since he has found game time hard to get in the new season with Hertha, where he has played only one start from 17 games in the top-flight German Bundesliga, as against the previous term, when he started 13 high-profile league matches.
However, moving on to Fernebahce would be a first of its kind adventure for Torunarigha, as he started his professional career at Hertha, after he was promoted from the club’s youth team, to the extent that he would be moving to a new club and another country for the first time.
