Manchester United of England youngster, Deji Sotona could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer, as interest has come his way from a couple of clubs in Germany, megasportsarena.com reports.
With steady fingers pointing at the possibility of the Nigerian-born youngster accepting one of the offers on the table for him from Germany, Sotona now has an uncertain future hanging over him at United, as he could be on his way pretty soon.
This is sequel to a long of impressive performances by Sotona during action with United’s youth teams, and many observers are already shocked that the Nigerian-born youngster, who recent data showed is the club’s fastest player, is yet to sign a professional contract after turning 17 in December.
That came when he was clocked at a staggering 22.9mph, which was more than 1.2mph ahead of second placed, Diogo Dalot in tests at United’s Carrington training complex last September, but The Sun UK has now disclosed that Sotona could be the latest youngster on the books of an English club snapped up by a German Bundesliga team.
With the Nigerian-born duo of Dillon Hoogewerf inking a professional contract with United less than a month after he turned 17 and Shola Shoretire guaranteed a pro-deal from next February, Sotona would be right to think his future lies elsewhere.
Sotona, scored a brace against Everton in Manchester United U18s last league match of the season, taking his tally to five goals in all competitions for the 2019-2020 campaign, will enter the second year of his scholarship with United in July, if he is not offered a professional contract.
