Racing Genk of Belgium attacker, Paul Ebere Onuachu has gained summer transfer interest from Olympique Marseille of France, even as top shots at his current club are reportedly facing up to the reality that he could be on his way at the end of this season.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, with the former FC Midtjylland of Denmark giant holding out as top scorer in the Belgian top-flight league al this while, and took his tally for the campaign to 23 in midweek, Onuachu is sure to attract transfer links this summer.
RKC are now said to be facing up to the possibility that Onuachu could be on his way out this summer, but they have now served a strong hint that they will not allow him go for anything less than 15 million Euro.
Despite the odds, Lyon are reportedly already among the front runners for his signature and, while resigning themselves to the prospects of losing the Super Eagles’ star this summer, Genk now aim to make a huge profit on selling the in-form striker who they bought two seasons ago for six million Euro from Midtjylland.
The report by La Capitale added: “Lyon are among the first clubs interested in signing the giant striker, who is the leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League this season with 22 goals.
“On the back of his goals, Onuachu, 26, has been linked with top clubs in the major leagues and the player himself has said he has the talent to shine wherever he ends up.”
