Lille Metropole of France striker, Victor Osimhen has received a new tag at his club, following his ninth goal of the season, with the team’s media unit now labeling him ‘The Beautiful Man.’
Megasportsarena.com reports that this comes after te 20-year-old Osimhen again scored a winning goal in their latest French Ligue 1 home game at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, much to the delight of the club’s fans, officials and media, especially as the game’s lone strike meant the team climbed to third on the table.
Lille also received a massive boost ahead of their last match in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, as they seek to get a consolation of sort from Tuesday’s fixture away to Chelsea, and Osimhen is already thinking of his third UCL goal to be enacted at Stamford Bridge.
Incidentally, it was against The Blues that Osimhen netted his first European club competition goal for Lille, before adding a second away to Ajax Amsterdam of Holland, such that his effort against Brest on Friday was his 11th overall in only his first campaign with Lille.
LOSC’s media united took note of the giant strides Osimhen continues taking since his summer arrival from Sporting Charleroi of Belgium, where he was sold just few weeks after the club got him outright from VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, as he played on loan all through the past season.
That underscores how pivotal Osimhen has become to Lille within a short while, equally filling in well for the lad he replaced, Nicolas Pepe, who moved to Arsenal of England in a club record fee for the London outfit, such that everything about this Nigerian kid has to be tagged beautiful.
Consequently, Lille’s wordsmiths took to social media in the wake of Friday’s win, with hordes of rave reviews, top marks, accolades and superlatives trailing Osimhen, as well as the man who gave him the assist for his goal, but the Super Eagles’ rookie takes the cake with his new alias.
Lille’s dramatic post read: “16′ GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL !!! @victorosimhen9 you beautiful man. And WHAT an assist from Jonathan Ikoné. #LOSCSB29 1-0.”
