Barcelona Femeni of Spain attacker, Asisat Oshoala has stated delight with her placement in the list of the best 11 players of the Spanish women’s league, as she acknowledged it is a boost to her confidence in the next campaign, megasportsarena.com reports.
Oshoala was all smiles and truly excited, after news emerged that she had been included in the Spanish Primera Iberdrola team of the season, as the 25-year-old former FC Robo Queens of Lagos, Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, Arsenal Ladies and Liverpool Women of England as well as ex-Dalian Quanjian of China ace put up brilliant personal efforts for Barcelona.
It is a befitting reward for the Super Falcons’ captain, who played a vital role for Barca to clinch their first league title in five years without losing a single match in 21 games, while she also scored 20 goals and bagged one assist in 19 appearances for The Catalan Ladies.
Oshoala won her third overall title when Barca ended top of the log when the season was called off, on account of delays caused by the coronavirus outbreak, before which she also helped her side win Copa Catalunya and Super Women’s Cup during the season under review.
After signing a permanent deal with Barca, Oshoala scored 20 goals in 19 appearances for before the league was eventually canceled, but she had already helped her side win Copa Catalunya and Super Women’s Cup before the cancellation.
