Galatasaray of Turkey attacker, Henry Onyekuru has receive a heartwarming and solemn condolence message from the Turkish Super Lig club, following the death of his mother, mrgasportsarena.com reports.
The Istanbul-based club were quick to react after news emerged about the passing of Mrs Jessy Onyekuru, and immediately excused the Super Eagles star from their squad for Saturday’s fixture at home against Karagumruk.
Galatasaray issued a press statement, in which they expressed sadness over the loss and, while condoling the 23-year-old forward, who is on loan from AS Monaco of France, the club promised to lend as much support as they can to help the player overcome the emotional setback.
Indeed, it would be a huge boost for Onyekuru, who is in his third spell at the Turkish giants and has so far scored five goals in 12 appearances, as the former KAS Eupen and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium star will be encouraged to put in more effort for the Istanbul-based club that have slipped to third in the Super Lig standings.
