Hapoel Ranana of Israel attacker, Peter Olawale and Brookhouse Academy of Engand central defender, Temitayo Ereku are the only foreign-based listed by Coach Isah Ladan Bosso in Nigeria’s youth national that will next weekend commence hostilities in the Wet African Football Union (WAFU) zone-B qualifiers for the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Bosso named Olawale and Ereku among 18 other players for the competition, which will hold from 5th to 20th December in Porto Novo, Benin Republic, where the top team only will qualify for the 2021 U20 AFCON to be staged in Mauritania.
Bosso also named to his roster Abia Warriors of Umuahia goalkeeper, Chibueze Lambert along with his former under-17 national team, Golden Eaglets pals, Wisdom Ubani, Charles Etim and Olawale, who all played at the last FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.
They are joined by Plateau United duo of Mike Zaruma and Nenrot Silas as well as Kwara United of Ilorin youngster, Christopher Nwaeze, Isaiah Ejeh and Farayola Olawale; in a squad that looks loaded enough to make Nigeria proud when they start their campaign on 6th December against Cote d’Ivoire at Stade de Galles in Porto Novo.
