No Gate fee for Federation Cup final – Governor Ambode


The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has thrown the gates open for football fans wishing to watch the final of the 2016 Federation Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

According to the Vice-Chairman, Lagos State FA, Tade Azeez, the covered seats are however be reserved.

Azeez who is also a member of the local organising committee informed reporters that adequate security is been planned for the day to make it a family affair.

He said “We are working on making the day a memorable day not only for football fans but to make it a family affair.”

The grand finale that will see Rivers Angels Football Club taking on Bayelsa Queens in the women’s final in the first match of the day starting from 1:00pm.

FC IfeanyiUbah will face Nasarawa United in the men’s final for the prestigious trophy and a place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
