A total of six players have been cited on the roster at Miami Heat of America, who compete in the prestigious National Basketball Association (NBA) league and are currently looking good for a return to glorious days of yore, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although the mill was agog earlier this week with the high possibility of one of those six players, Victor Oladipo moving on to another team for the remaining part of the season, while another, Andre Iguodala is a veteran heading for retirement, The Heat still have four other Nigerian-born lads holding their own firmly in Miami.
Among the other four is highly-rated Bam Adebayo, who continues rising pretty fast through the ranks in USA’s NBA, while Gabe Nnamdi Vincent, K.Z. Okpala and Precious Achiuwa are also on the rise, with great expectations of getting their espied breakthroughs sooner than later.
Those prospects have now attracted attention on social media, with a post appearing via the verified handle of a Nigerian basketball group that highlighted how a stunning number of six stars of the game from the West African country have already formed the structure of a starting line-up and an extra player in Miami.
The post via @NigeriaBasket stated: “The Miami Heat are officially Team Naija – Victor Oladipo, Bam Adebayo (@Bam1of1), Gabe Nnamdi Vincent, KZ Okpala, Precious Achiuwa, Andre Iguodala. SIX NIGERIANS. We love it. Flag of Nigeria.”
