Glasgow Rangers of Scotland youngster, Malcolm Ebiowei has gained commendation from one of his former teammates in their days together with Arsenal of England’s youth team, as Mauro Bandeira has tagged the midfielder as his toughest colleague ever.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Bandeira declared as much during an interview with Arsenal Matchday Programme columnist, Aidan Small, who the dynamic midfielder opened up to about his style of play, how he joined The Gunners and details about his teammates.
Ebiowei was a teammate of Bandeira at Emirates Stadium, until 2019, when he was released by The Gunners, who passed up the opportunity to sign him on scholarship terms, though he looked promising after training with the Golden Eaglets before Brazil 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup and was included in the provisional squad list for the tournament.
He later sealed a move to Glasgow Rangers in February 2020 and plays for their academy teams, yet his name still recurs in the list of prospects named by Bandeira, who also selected Spanish-Nigerian midfielder, Miguel Azeez as his current best academy pick from Emirates Stadium.
Azeez made his first team debut in a Europa League fixture against Dundalk last month, entering the game as a substitute to replace another Hale End product Joe Willock in the 83rd minute, but the second name from Bandeira is the lad based in Scotland, as he the Portuguese-born lad stated: “Alfie Devine (Tottenham) or Malcolm Ebiowei (Rangers).”
