The Whites are keen on Ola Aina, as Jesse Marsch sees the Torino star as a quality addition to his defence. The former Chelsea youth player is entering the final year of his deal in Italy and may be the subject of a cut-price move.
Jesse Marsch wants to rectify the shortcomings from the previous season where Leeds United narrowly escaped relegation.
In 2020-21, Aina joined Fulham on loan where he made 33 appearances. The player’s future is open to serious discussion, but the club may not want to sell him at the moment.
The right-back still has a year left on his deal. It means, he could leave as a free agent next summer, and Torino could be willing to cash in on him.
It is believed that Leeds want Aina in the window and the former Chelsea youth star could be available on a cut-price move as he enters the final year of his contract with the Italian side, so there is an opportunity with the player.
Leeds will look to secure the player with immense talent who has been performing well since signing for Torino, although he did not see a lot of game-time in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign.
Furthermore, given his contract situation, an exit looks extremely likely.
And Leeds United have seemingly taken the first step towards signing the former Chelsea starlet by launching an approach through intermediaries to assess the possibility of a transfer. Leeds, though, are not the only club interested, and it remains to be seen if the Whites can get the deal over the line.
