Anthony Joshua To Join DAZN, Quits Sky Sports In Mega-Money Deal

Anthony Joshua is set to join DAZN and quit Sky Sports in a mega-money deal, according to stunning reports monitored by Megasportsarena.com.

AJ will face-off with Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch later this summer, with the UK broadcast rights unclear amid intense negotiations.

But, ‘AJ’ is set to pledge his allegiance to Eddie Hearn’s new project with DAZN – starting with his second meeting against Usyk.

Joshua has been with Sky Sports for all of his professional career, with his last 13 bouts taking place on Sky Sports Box Office.

The broadcasters felt confident of re-signing the British star ahead of his next fight.

But a ‘sudden swing’ has put the app in the driving seat and an announcement could come as early as next week.

Joshua’s contract with Sky Sports expired last September following his defeat to Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He has since been the subject of a bidding war, with Hearn hellbent on having him compete on DAZN.

The Matchroom chief himself left Sky Sports for DAZN last year after negotiating a whopping £100 million-per-year deal.

However, Joshua’s UK rights were not part of that package.

DAZN, though, do air his bouts elsewhere around the world – including in the US.

Joshua, who has been promoted by Hearn’s Matchroom since turning professional, will look to regain the world titles when he rematches Usyk.

He surrendered the WBA (Super), IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles in his unanimous decision defeat to the Ukrainian.

The showdown between Usyk and Joshua is tentatively slated to be staged in Saudi Arabia in August.
