Watford of England striker, Isaac Success has set himself up for a role in The Hornets’ squad for this weekend’s English Championship fixture against Bristol City, megasportsarena.com reports.
This is sequel to his return from injury at the end of last month and he stepped up his return to action with an outing for Watford’s under-23 side in midweek, thereby putting himself in strong contention for some piece of the action against Bristol on Saturday.
All odds now stand in favour of a return to The Hornets’ mainframe, after Success took a big step in his bid to be match fit by featuring for Watford U23s in a training game on Wednesday and he completed 45 minutes to signify his comeback from injury.
The former BJ Foundation of Benin City, Udinese of Italy and Granada of Spain all-action striker is equally keen on making the squad against Bristol City, as he has returned to full training with Watford’s first team after recovering from a hamstring problem.
That marks a turnaround of fortune for Success, who has not featured for The Hornets’ senior squad nor made a matchday selection in the Championship so far this season as a result of the injury, which has beclouded his days at Vicarage Road.
Despite failing to stay fit and justify his presence at Vicarage Road, Success’ contract still runs until June 30, 2023, such that the UAE 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup winner will now hope to finally overcome his fitness woes and settle down fully with the team that also has Super Eagles’ pal, William Troost-Ekong on their cards.
It is now left to be seen if Watford’s coach, Xisco Muñoz will consider a spot in the upcoming game against Bristol on Saturday, for Success, who also struggled with injuries last season and ended up making only seven appearances in all competitions.
