Leicester City of England attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has been rated high on current form and has a long reel of statistics considered good enough to wreak havoc of Arsenal when both clubs clash this Tuesday in the English Premier League, megasportsarena.com gathered.
This follows his remarkable feat of scoring in the past two matches for The Foxes, and statistics are rolling high in his favour, after he continued his recent to scoring ways with another well-taken goal against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
After hitting target for The Foxes in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Palace, Iheanacho has scored in back-to-back EPL matches for Leicester on three occasions, following his arrival from top-flight league rivals, Manchester City in 2017.
The 23-year-old Iheanacho put his team ahead after 49 minutes at King Power Stadium, when he headed the ball past Vicente Guaita, after Youri Tielemans sent a low cross into the box and it was fumbled by the goalkeeper.
The goal was another dramatic lift for Iheanacho, who had only previously netted in just one of his last 12 games in the EPL, but he has now set Opta stats with a remarkable feat in consecutive matches, following an earlier effort in Leicester’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa on Wednesday.
In that match, ‘Kelele” got off The Foxes’ bench to net a consolation sizzler, which took him next to Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud as the substitute that has scored the most number goals since making a debut in the his English top-flight against Watford on August 30, 2015.
Iheanacho’s first back-to-back goals in the EPL came in his maiden season with Man City, as he hit target in a 3-1 win over Arsenal on May 9, 2018 and followed it up with another effort in a 5-4 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup gold medalist and most valuable player then achieved the feat for the second time earlier this season, when he struck in his side’s 2-1 triumph over Everton and a week later during a 4-1 trouncing of Villa on December 12, 2019.
Iheanacho’s form has now provided a necessary boost to Leicester’s efforts at sealing a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, as they currently occupy third spot on the log and, now that speculation over his future at King Power Stadium has died down, the Taye Academy of Owerri product will now aim for more goals when his side take on Arsenal this Tuesday.
Although it will be an away fixture for his team at Emirates Stadium in London, Iheanacho will be filled with the fire of desire and passion to add to his current haul of five goals he has scored so far this term, in what has been an off-and-on, cold-and-hot campaign for him personally.
