Leicester City of England attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has wrapped up pre-season training with the former English Premier League champions in France, and will now turn his focus on the next phase of their build-up plans for the 2019/2020 campaign starting next month, megasportsarena.com reports.
Iheanacho and other members of The Foxes’ squad underwent their final training session at the pre-season camp in Evian on Saturday morning before flying back to the UK,, as they now turn the focus on the series of pre-season friendlies they will prosecute in the coming days.
Iheanacho will personally have to put himself into proper shape, in order to make a huge impression during the the summer schedule of fixtures to put the squad into the right frame of competition, beginning with their first friendly away to Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.
It is one of seven such games Iheanacho and his pals will play in the lead-up to the new Premier League campaign, with ties against English lower division sides, Cheltenham, Cambridge, Stoke City and Rotherham, as well as Atalanta of Italy and OGC Nice of France also booked in for them.
Leicester stated on their official website: “The week in Evian not only allowed City to improve their fitness, with training taking place in warm weather and at altitude, but also helped the squad to bond and provided new signings James Justin and Ayoze Perez with an opportunity to bed in.”
