Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has advised John Obi Mikel that it won’t be a bad move if he chose to move to China.
”Mikel to China? Not a bad move, he need to play games and you can’t fault the level of the Chinese League any more. You have players moving from Europe to China at every transfer window, so it’s not the worst of all places to play football.”
”It’s unfortunate what has happened to him at Chelsea, but we all know his quality and as a former club coach, I understand some of the intrigues involved in managing players at that level.”
Mikel has been frozen out of the first team at Chelsea by manager Antonio Conte, in what is his 11th season at the club, prompting several overtures from clubs in Europe and China.
