AC Milan of Italy loan signing from Chelsea of England, Fikayo Tomori has gained a round of applause from one of the Italian Serie A club’s captain, Alessio Romagnoli, who says he has been impressed by the Nigerian-born stopper’s performances since arriving from London.
Following another sterling out for Tomori last weekend with The Rossoneri, Romagnoli confessed that he is seeing what he never thought the star born in Canada to Nigerian parents was capable of doing on the field of play, then declared that the Milan-based club’s aspirations have received a boost with the dark-skinned lad’s arrival from Stamford Bridge.
He pointed out that their target is a top four finish this season in the Italian top-flight and, with victory over Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo’s Crotone taking Milan clear at top of the log, Romagnoli is thinking big of clinching the title this term.
Tomori’s captain told Sky Italia: “Our target is to qualify for the Champions League; we’ll see where we are at the beginning of April. We focus on one game at time, we played a great second half, but we were too slow in the first half.
“We’ve been used to play one match every three days, now we have another difficult one away at Spezia on Saturday. (Tomori) is a very good player, aggressive and with quality.”
